The Towner Eastbourne began its art collection in 1920 when Alderman John Chisholm Towner bequeathed 20 paintings to the people of Eastbourne.
Over 100 years later, Towner is still collecting and exhibiting art with over 175,000 visitors each year. Included in their centenary celebrations is The Turner Prize 2023 which forms the centre piece of their exhibition programme.
