What did we do?
Magpie BMS Services Ltd designed, manufactured and installed a new control panel to control heating and ventilation at this property. Part of our works included individual room control; this element of work involved interfacing with Crestron ® and Daikin, via Synapsys Solutions.
Why did we carry out this project?
The entire property was being refurbished with new plant throughout and as a result a new control system was required.
What was the benefit to the client?
The client now has a central point of temperature controls in each room in his residence. The Trend Controller, in conjunction with the HMI provides staff / engineers with a central point for alarm monitoring; we also incorporated an audio-visual alarm in the housekeeper’s staffroom.
Were there any challenges during the project?
We coordinated closely with three other subcontractors to deliver the room control system successfully. Clear communication and structured planning was essential to ensure a smooth integration across all trades and avoided delays during installation.

- Design, manufacture and commissioning of a new form 2 control panel
- The control system was engineered around the Trend IQ5 System
- Providing a 9” touchscreen HMI to allow user access to Trend’s IQView functionality
- Integration with Crestron ® and Daikin, via BACnet and Synapsys Solutions.
